Council's Cemeteries and Memorial Gardens are not as
large as some facilities but are designed to be part of the community. They
range from quiet rural settings to more traditional urban cemeteries. Council
aims to provide adequate and appropriate places for internment and quiet
remembrance.

always welcomes community input and where there is significant community
interest consideration is given to establishing 355B committees of Council.

West Ward Cemeteries Committee

committee holds regular working bees
and provides assistance to the community on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day

group is looking to form Friends
of the Cemeteries group/s at
Seaham & Hinton. People are advised of planned activities and can
participate as they wish.

commenced a beautification program.
