Who is responsible for the repair of a monument?
When
a monument is placed on a grave, it remains the property of the
owner of the Right of Burial. |
The
owner of the Right of Burial approves the monument’s installation,
any future changes and is responsible for maintaining the monument.
All installations and/or repairs must only be undertaken with
approval from the cemetery or crematorium. |
However,
if a monument becomes unsafe, the cemetery can remove it to ensure
safety for visitors and cemetery workers. |
