Can I  use a cardboard coffin?

CCA NSW does not object to the use of cardboard coffins.  

The use of cardboard coffins is not illegal in New South Wales but all products need to meet appropriate safety standards.  

It is recommended that, prior to purchasing a cardboard coffin, you check with your chosen Funeral Director and Cemetery and/or Crematorium to ensure that they will accept your coffin.
