Frequently Asked Questions

F. VIEWING THE BODY OF THE DECEASED:
1. Should the body of the deceased be viewed?

Viewing often helps in your realisation that the person has died, giving people the opportunity to say goodbye.

This is optional and a personal decision.  People should neither be prevented from viewing, nor should they be forced to do so.  Funeral directors can provide facilities for viewings or alternatively, a viewing can be arranged in the privacy of your own home.
