PAST CCA NSW AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE

2005 Derek Williams is Manager of Anglican & General Cemetery Trusts at Rookwood.  Nominated for his contribution to the industry over many years, but especially for his dedication to the improvement of training and education within the industry.  He has supported the CCA NSW in many capacities and is currently Treasurer on the Executive Committee.

2003 Ross Davis is the Chief Executive Officer of Macquarie Park Cemetery & Crematoria.  Nominated for his many years of contribution to the industry which includes 25 years working in the industry and 20 years supporting CCA NSW during which time he has served as chairman for 6 years.

2000 David Blake OAM is the General Manager of Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park and is the current award recipient.  Nominated for his outstanding contribution to the crematorium and cemetery industry, David epitomises the very high standards to which all members aspire.

1999 Harold O’Keeffe. Harold received the award for exemplary service on the Association’s various committees and overall contribution to the industry. In his position as General Manager of the Catholic Cemeteries Board, he has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, management skills and foresight. A highlight in 1999 was the research, coordination and direction of the building of the Mausoleum of the Resurrection at the Catholic Cemetery Rookwood. This world class mausoleum caters for community needs both present and future and is the first Catholic Mausoleum in Australia.

1998 Warwick Hansen is a Regional Manager with SCIA (Funeral Services Division). Warwick’s award was recognition of his outstanding contribution to the CCA NSW from its inception. Warwick’s innovative ideas and energy has benefited greatly the entire industry – members, government and the community we serve.

1997 John Coster. John is Manager of Frenchs Forest Bushland Cemetery and was conferred with the award for his untiring efforts in the promotion of the Association.
