2. GARDENER / GENERAL HAND
A full time position exists for a person with the ability to be able to perform the duties
of a Gardener / General hand. A Certificate in Horticulture or similar or skill in plant identification, propagation and general landscape maintenance would be an advantage.Duties will include:
General landscape maintenance, which includes mowing, turf laying, planting
trees, fertilizing and spraying etc. Skills include being able to use all garden
equipment, whipper snippers, blowers, pruners, pumps, tractors, trailers, spray
equipment, chainsaws, wheel barrows, mini excavators, and any other equipment
supplied which necessitates the proper care of the cemetery, landscape, around
the Office, Chapel, and heritage garden beds. Licences for front end loader and
bobcat excavator would be an advantage.
You will need to hold a current drivers licence and be green card
compliant. On site training and
external courses will also be available for the successful candidate.
