Hi,

A few notes about new and upgraded features on the website;

  1. CAPTCHA challenge/ confirmation is enforced on forms that are vulnerable to intruders,  hackers and 'bots.  Note that if you find the challenge too difficult to read you can get another by clicking the appropriate icon in the CAPTCHA form. It looks like the recycling symbol. There is also a popup help box. Activate it by clicking the ? icon.
  2. Versioning software has been installed for editing documents and content. This means that a number of people, such as a committee group, could work on the same document. The versioning software tracks the changes. The document can be restored to any previous version.
  3. The Attachment option for documents has been tweaked and should behave properly now. If you get "JFTP" errors do let me know, although bear in mind that the FTP port #21 has to be available on your network. Some paranoid network administrators do disable it.
  4. There are significant enhancements to the Members Profile page. There is now an email link, so when you look up another member you can email them directly. Please note that when you message another member from the website you need to confirm the CAPTCHA code before clicking the SEND button.
  5. Guest & Employee categories have been added to all Membership types. This has been done so membership organisations can nominate other employees, partners, directors, trustees etc to have registered access to the website. Details of additional nominations need to forwarded to the Secretary or Website Administrator.
  6. The FAQ area is being frequently updated at the moment. Note there is now a MEMBERS ONLY FAQ category intended to help you get the best out the site. If you have questions, email me.

I am still looking for more banner images. If you have something, please send it to me. Contact me for details.

best wishes
