Which Article Editor Should I use?

The web site provides a number of editors for editing articles. Each has its strengths and weaknesses.

To select the editor to use, log in to the website.

Then click "Your Details" on the User Menu

The drop box next to the "User Editor" prompt lets you select.

The choices are
  • Joomla FCK - Fully Featured Editor. Very intuitive, similar to a word processor. Bulky and takes a little time to load.
  • Ninja Board Editor - DO NOT USE
  • Editor - No Editior - Like notepad. You probably wouldn't want to use it
  • TinyMCE - The Standard Joomla Editor. Basic, but loads quick. Not very good if you want to upload image files for your article
  • JCE - Similar in features to FCK, but loads quicker. The "Readmore" button currently doesn't work
Make your choice and click SAVE
