Greendale residents fuming over crematorium plans

From the Liverpool Leader,  Simone Roberts reports GREENDALE residents have failed in their bid to stop plans for a crematorium on Greendale Rd. Last night the Joint Regional Planning Panel approved an application for the crematorium, which will include a temple and dormitory accommodation. The Joint Regional Planning Panel approved an application for the crematorium, which will include a temple and dormitory accommodation, at 992 Greendale Rd, Greendale.
The warning comments quoted from opposing Councillors are particularly worrying; Liverpool Councillors Tony Hadchiti and Nadia Napoletano attempted to stop the application but were outvoted by other members of the panel. “These people will be pooing themselves wondering what’s coming out of those smoke stacks. People will go crazy when they see this smoke around their homes. They will go nuts,” said Cr Hadchiti.
One resident is supposed to have said that she will need to move now because the area will become a "Death Valley".
