Castlebrook Memorial Park plan wins backing - Castle Hills News

CASTLEBROOK Memorial Park could gain more than a hectare of burial space that would provide a buffer between the existing cemetery grounds and The Ponds estate.

Blacktown Council as resolved to forward a proposal to the planning minister to rezone the parcel of land — which is under contract for acquisition from the Roads and Traffic Authority — from residential to special uses.

Castlebrook is owned by Invocare, which is seeking a gateway determination to allow the rezoning.

Castlebrook Memorial Park communications manager Karl Wolfenden said the land was first acquired two years ago through a land swap with the RTA.
