No coffins for Camden Cemetery's Islamic Section
Camden Council last week approved a 70-plot Islamic lawn section at Camden General Cemetery, and voted to seek NSW Health Department approval for burials without coffins.
The council’s undertaking followed an appeal by Campbelltown-based Suburban Islamic Association, which also asked for a lawn cemetery and for Macarthur area Muslims to be charged the same as Camden locals to be buried.
