Website changes (updated 25 May 2011)

Website changes made 5th May 2011
The User Menu that you see on the right after logging in has been tidied up and consolidated. You'll now find access to your
- photo gallery
- Cemetery Index Entries
- comments posted agains articles
on tabbed pages in your profile. Click the "My Profile" link to access them.
Publishers of articles now have their name linked to the profile in the article header. So, if your reading an article, the person who posted it will have their name and optional avatar displayed below the article's title. Clicking on the name will show the user's profile details.
The website is undergoing a few changes. First and foremost the "template", ie, the elements that display the look of the information has been redone "in house" as it were, so there's no reliance on third parties and importantly the copyright now belongs to the CCANSW entirely.
Second, we're trying to arrange information so that the important recent links are "in your" face, as it were. There's a new "Members" information container at the top right once you've logged in. It will contain links to recent high priority items.
There are now several log in options; there is a standard log in form at the right on the vertical menu strip. There is also a link in the welcome box at top right. It is captioned "Visitors" and "Members".
The search box is now at the top right menu. Apparently some of you had trouble seeing it in the top right corner where it was before.
The news has been reduced to headline links only on the front page.
Please note that this is a work in progress and further changes need to be implemented to get the front page to the desired standard.
As always with these things, there will probably be broken link or two until I have time to check them all. If you get any "404 - page not found errors", please let me know. If you get "403" errors it indicates that you don't have permission to view the page. Please check that you're logged in.
UPDATE: The new Email Alert system, a replacement for the previosu newsletter, is now working. Members should check their email alert settings.
