QLD. Bush burials to be cheaper

FUNERAL costs will be slashed by up to $300 at regional cemeteries outside Rockhampton and Yeppoon, according to the Bulletin (Rockhampton, QLD).

Councillors yesterday agreed to scrap a policy to charge the same price at all cemeteries in the Rockhampton Regional Council area. The cost of a plot at Mount Morgan, Bajool, Cawarral and other smaller cemeteries will fall to $400.
