Last Sunday more than 50 residents turned out on for the Leeton Family and Local History Society cemetery walk. The walk was part of Heritage Week, which started last Saturday and runs until April 19.

The hour-long walk included biographies of each of the graves visited.Leeton Family and Local History Society president Wendy Senti was pleased with the how the walk went.

“We had a lot of younger people there this year, which was good to see,” she said.“I think this year was the best walk we’ve had yet.

“It was good to see so many people interested and wanting to ask questions.”

The walk featured gravesites of some of Leeton’s pioneers, including early shopkeepers and farmers.
