Luddenham Memorial Park not wanted

No_sign2.svgA development application for a cemetery & crematorium in Luddenham, NSW, has upset the neighbours, according to the Penrith Press.

“There would be funerals going on all the time and people visiting the cemetery for reflection of life,” one is quoted as saying. “The kids want to ride their motorbikes and because we’re on a farm they want to make noise. Do they have to stop because people are having a funeral?”

Another, whose family olive farm backs on to the site, said she disagreed with claims the proposed Luddenham Memorial Park would not impinge on the rural character of the area. She said due to the hilly terrain, everyone would be able to see the graves and crypts, and its location would impact on farming techniques.
