Greendale Residents Taking it to the Streets...

RESIDENTS waging a campaign to stop a crematorium being built in their street are getting ready to fight the decision to approve it.

The Greendale Rd residents have failed to stop Liverpool Council approving the development but will challenge that decision.

About 70 residents packed a meeting at Casula Powerhouse last week to have their say about the proposal.

They heard the Joint Regional Planning Panel give the go-ahead for the development, which will include a temple and dormitory accommodation at 992 Greendale Rd, Greendale.

They hold grave concerns the crematorium will ruin the rural nature of the area and contaminate their water supply.
