QLD: Government Inquiry into burial sites

funeralIn Queensland the State Government is considering drastic options to overhaul burial and cremation techniques as projections reveal Queensland's death rate will double in 30 years.  New graves could also be gouged in spaces between older sites, unmarked 100-year-old burial sites excavated and recycled, or family graves reused by succeeding generations. At least that's been reported on by the Sunday papers (Courier Mail) and, somewhat less emotionally, the ABC. The usual Green Burial proponents have a bit of a say as well.
