Pruning Time

GARDEN enthusiasts can stop and smell the roses on Sunday at Box Hill Cemetery.

The Australian Federation of Cemetery Friends is holding a rose-pruning demonstration with a horticulturalist passing on their tricks of the prickly trade.

Greenthumbs can learn when to prune, how to prune and the best way to spray roses.

Treasurer Susan Johns said the garden had been revamped outside the cemetery office and the three separate rose beds were named after former trustees. Read more here...
