Heat is still on plans for Greendale crematorium

From the Liverpool Leader this morning:

THE state government has no power to stop the construction of a large crematorium, temple and dormitory complex at Greendale.

 

Last month angry residents petitioned Planning Minister Brad Hazzard to request he overturn approval for the site at 992 Greendale Rd, Greendale, claiming it posed health risks and would disturb the semi-rural street.

But Mr Hazzard responded to the petition, signed by almost 5000 residents, saying the matter was out of his hands.
