For what length of time is a burial licence for a grave purchased?

Posted by: Administrator

Generally in NSW, once a burial has occurred, the remains of the deceased are interred forever unless alternative arrangements have been made with the cemetery.  Burial Licences may have tenure periods applicable to them and you should check with the cemetery concerned. In the case of Crown Land managed cemeteries, burial licences that remain unexercised have a tenure of 50 years.
