Excellence Award Recipients

2003 Excellence Award - Ross Davis

NOMINATED BY: CHARLES BARDWELL

Ross Davis has been involved with cemeteries for the past twenty five years.

During that period of time he has spent twenty years as Secretary of the then Northern Suburbs Cemetery Trust, ten years as Secretary of the Frenchs Forest Cemetery Trust, ten years as Secretary of the Rookwood Independent Cemetery Trust and nine years as the Secretary of the Rookwood Anglican and General Cemetery Trust.

He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Macquarie Park for over five years. During this period a new Administration building has been completed, the Garden of Gethsemane project has come to fruition and the Crematorium project is well under way.

He has been involved with the CCA for the past 20 years and has recently completed a total of six years as Chairman.

During the period of his stewardship with the CCA he has piloted the new constitution, has established our existing method of sub committees and has fostered closer relationships with the ACCA, the AFDA and the FDA.

He has been committed to the Industry in an executive capacity during his involvement and I consider that he would be a worthy recipient of the Award for Excellence and recommend him accordingly.
