This 4-hour online workshop is vital for everyone with any level of responsibility for the welfare of cemetery clients.

Who are our most frequent clients? What do they think, feel and want? When and why do mourners visit cemeteries, and what do they expect? How do their needs change over time?

Unique, ground-breaking Australian research reveals how the profile of most mourners differs significantly from that of the general population. We need to know our clients, and they want to be understood.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
  • Discover the hidden social world of the cemetery and appreciate cultural diversity among clients.
  • Gain first-hand insights into commonly expressed needs of Australian mourners.
  • Recognise a broad range of clients’ emotions and how they may progressively vary.
  • Understand personal and cultural factors behind specific bereavement behaviours.
  • Appreciate how mourners really feel about bereavement services (including funerals, cemeteries and other supports).
  • Confidently understand and anticipate community needs.
  • Learn to predict certain client responses and be prepared to minimise potential conflict.
